Parking Lot Rules
Children are to arrive between 8:20 – 8:30. Student supervision begins at 8:25 which is when students will be allowed to enter the building. Parents are responsible for their children until 8:25. If students enter their classroom after 8:35, they will be marked tardy. When dropping off a child before school or picking up a child after school, please use the main entrance of the building (door #1). For safety, students should enter/exit vehicles on the left or passenger side. Avoid the driveway on the east (Harrison Street) side of the building; that is the bus lane. Children should not cut through the parking lot to their parent’s car when being picked up. They should wait on the sidewalk until their ride pulls forward. Parents should not leave their car unattended. Children will follow their normal routine at dismissal unless the parent has provided a note stating a change in that routine. Students are not allowed to ride a bus other than their assigned bus.
These rules are in place for the safety of all our families and children. If you have any additional comments or concerns, please share them with Principal Jennifer Grosch.

The Parent Portal provides parents with access to a secure, online, web-based portal to the District's new student information system. Click here to access the portal.
Parents must confirm their desire to view their child's information online in order to access the parent portal. Once they do, the portal will allow them to view their child's attendance history, registration and transportation information, report cards, and mid-term progress reports.
If a child's teacher chooses to use the grade book and/or homework modules available through the new student information system, parents will be able to access this information through the parent portal, as well.
Marion Jordan School
It was once said "Quality is never an accident; but rather, it is the result of high expectations and serious efforts." Marion Jordan School displays its quality every day; whether it's through the dedication of its staff, or through its high-achieving students, or through the never-ending commitment of its parents and community support groups.
There is no doubt that this school's outstanding reputation has been built through a spirit of cooperation among all these stakeholders.
Marion Jordan earned the 2012 Academic Excellence Award designation on the Illinois Honor Roll (for the ninth consecutive year), a distinction that goes to high-achieving Illinois schools. Marion Jordan also has been recognized by the United States Department of Education as a No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School in 2005.
